The first edition of the Vienna Art Book Fair, where the Bucharest platform P.U.N.C.H. will participate with the support of the Romanian Cultural Institute in Vienna, will be held between 4 and 6 October 2019, at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna.
The Vienna Art Book Fair is the first Viennese event dedicated to art printing featuring more than 150 exhibitors from 18 countries (Austria, Belgium, Canada, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Japan, The Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States).
P.U.N.C.H. is a platform for art publishing, and, at the same time, an online bookstore and international distributor for a selection of publications from Romania. The PUNCH Association was launched in Bucharest, in 2014, with the aim of promoting artists, small publishing houses specialized in art publications, as well as cultural organizations and institutions in Romania and South-East Europe who wish to reach a diverse, international and wider audience. The online bookstore also offers a selection of publications focused on contemporary theory and practices in art, architecture, photography and design. Since 2017, the association also works as a publishing house.

The Vienna Art Book Fair is a free event in order to provide a broader platform for artists, collectors, small publishing houses, antiquarian booksellers, art libraries, institutions, printers and for the public passionate about art. For three days, the fair will offer a complex program that will include exhibitions, guided tours, book presentations, discussions with invited artists, readings, debates, workshops and performances.
